Fall 2010 Sewing Classes
REGISTRATION
INFORMATION: To
register for a class, bring by or mail a check for the amount of the
class (dated for the first scheduled class day). Only those who have paid
are considered enrolled in
the class, so please send your money in early to avoid disappointment.
No
children are permitted to accompany adults to class. If listed
classes are full we will schedule additional sessions as needed.
REFUND POLICY:
Refunds are available only when cancellation is made 48 hours before
the first class. Information on supplies needed for classes will be
provided prior to the first class if necessary. For more information

Viking Educator, Karla Herrin

Class Fee: $10.00
Find out how to get the most from your sewing
machine! Let Karla inspire you with tips and techniques that will take
your sewing to a whole new level! This exciting 3-hour demonstration
event focuses on trends in the marketplace today, showing you how to
achieve the same results yourself using Husqvarna Viking® sewing
machines and accessories.
Demonstrations are designed to be informative, fun
and easy! Inspirational samples will show you how various techniques can
be applied to your fashion sewing, home decor, quilting and more. Karla
will share tips for success and offer suggestions to give you even more
creative ideas.
A number of topics will be covered including:
Fun effects with ruffles, pleats and
gathering
Creative piping techniques
Inspiring ideas for using decorative
stitches
Textured embroideries
Surface embellishment to add dimension and
texture And SEW much more!
Classes
YOKE DRESS
Make this Collar's, Etc. Yoke Dress with a smocked front skirt. This
class will give you experience in making piping, a Peter Pan collar and
set in sleeves. Skirt must be smocked before class. Supply list will be
mailed before first class. 2 classes. $50.

BISHOP CONSTRUCTION
(Prerequisite: basic smocking. Smocking will be done outside class) You
will learn step by step how to create one of the most precious of all
smocked garments, a round yoke Bishop Dress. You will have a completed
dress at the end of the class. 3 classes. Supply list mailed before

MAKING SNAP CLOSURES FOR BOYS' JOHNJOHNS
Learn to adjust a pattern to make a crotch that closes with snaps
including using the Snap Setter Tool. Not just for boys' clothes! 1

Use the Britches & Bloomers pattern to make a pair of pants for a
