Winter/Spring 2009 Class Schedule

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: To register for a class, bring by or mail a check for the amount of the class (dated for the first scheduled class day). Only those who have paid are considered enrolled in the class, so please send your money in early to avoid disappointment. No children are permitted to accompany adults to class. If listed classes are full we will schedule additional sessions as needed.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds are available only when cancellation is made 48 hours before the first class. Information on supplies needed for classes will be provided prior to the first class. For more information please call 601-956-6376.


BEGINNING SEWING
Make a skirt and top while learning to read a pattern, lay out and cut fabric, operate a sewing machine and use basic construction techniques. 5 classes. Supply list given at first class. $80

BISHOP CONSTRUCTION
(Prerequisite: basic smocking. Smocking will be done outside class) You will learn step by step how to create one of the most precious of all smocked garments, a round yoke Bishop Dress. You will have a completed dress at the end of the class. 3 classes. Supply list mailed before first class. $50

ADULT SLEEP PANTS

This class teaches children (minimum age 8 yrs old) the basics of sewing with a machine. Students will make a headband and pincushion during the session. 1 class. Supply list mailed before first class. $25

HEIRLOOM NOTEBOOK
Learn techniques needed to create heirloom garments. Record machine settings and special instructions in your notebook with samples of each technique. Materials for samples furnished. Supply list mailed before first class. $40.

ADVANCED HAND EMBROIDERY
Continue your mastery of handwork with this class. Learn to make a bullion animal, cast on flowers and 2 pin wheel flowers. 1 class. Kit provided. $35.

EASTER DRESS (Advanced level class)

BEGINNING MACHINE QUILTING
Learn the basics of machine quilt-as-you-go and complete two blocks of a small quilt. Instructions for completing the quilt on your own will be given. Bring your machine and your lunch. 1 class. $50.

(Prerequisite, Beginning Machine Quilting, to be taught Feb. 12)
